Drivers Guide

A range of safe driving literature, predominantly aimed at young drivers, has seen the recent addition of a volume on the subject of how to drive when passing close to trucks, lorries or other heavy goods vehicles. The authors found that qualified drivers were often less confident close to large vehicles, as they have little understanding of the technical differences between cars and lorries. The safety guide points out the danger of driving in the blind spot of a heavy vehicle, the need to allow extra space when passing a large vehicle and leave a larger gap when passing in front, since trucks and lorries cannot brake as quickly as cars. The publishers of the Teens and Trucks guide will also provide free car insurance quotes.
